Great, simple and easy to use, except haven't been able to load a dxf file yet and the layer dialog box does not display correctly ie difficult to see layer list (using XP).

After easily finding my way around power draw I have have found it to be a great help in the drawing and planning of a working scale model of Donald Campbells K7 Bluebird project I have been working on for the past few months.
An easy to use and very adaptable program to use for anyone with any project they wish to develope.
The only way to find out is to try it and see for yourself.

A powerful yet easy-to-use vector editor

I have been looking for a simple easy-to-use editor for geometry drawings. PowerDraw has been my choice for a while enabling me to accomplish most of my tasks. Later on I found out that it lacks some typical operations I need (like building parallel and tangent lines, drawing a circle through given points and many others). Also layers are not the best part of PowerDraw. Now I use ApmGraph and PowerDraw and most certainly will keep them both.
Thank you for making PowerDraw freely available!

Just what I needed

I was trying to draw up a design for a bed frame I'm going to fabricate, and PowerDraw fit my needs. I need to mess with it more to get a good feel for it, but it's pretty intuitive. Freeware that I will be keeping.

First time User

Just downloaded program and as I have little experience with this type of product, I sought basic inst but found an index but no detail (as there was no access). How to erase part of or section of an image or any options with controls etc.Or how to plot or draw a
hex shape at a particular size etc.
At first glance it looks good for my use, but the lack of a usable manual or even a number of simple example plans or drawings for reference or to use as a starting point make it more dificult for the novice. my use is to draw some engineer type plans for tools or components etc so I have a data base of items I might make in my workshop or send out to be water cut etc. I've had access to some programs but found them regardless of cost pitching for high end graphics or specialist use. The simple nature of some plans seems to be forgotten, It's probably just my approach to it's use but I find myself reverting back to pen or using MS Paint as an app.
A couple of engineer friends have agreed that a lot of programs lack a basic start point and instruction. and do not provide a lead in template or example to use and build on. It could be as simple as a 2D drawing with radius corners etc and a reveal to show it's
format. Or a house layout that could be modified to fit your requirements, this would be a copyright issue but a plan of a two room box that shows the way it's done and the way
ahead.
As I said I'm a novice but without a guide leaning more is a hit and miss affair which
can lead to frustration.

Regards
